South Jersey
When one looks at South Jersey they might think about down the shore or the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. South Jersey consists of the following counties:
- Atlantic County
- Burlington County
- Camden County
- Cape May County
- Cumberland County
- Gloucester County
- Salem County
When many people think of Atlantic City in South Jersey gambling comes to mind. There are a number of other activities that people might miss out on such as the area and culture of the city. Many visitors to Atlantic County might miss out on the Atlantic City Art Center which has a variety of activities. The Atlantic City Aquarium is also a site to see with over a 100 different types of marine life. There are so many different activities that you can so in this area.
Burlington County offers a couple different wineries in the area. This area is also home to parks where you are able to hike and check out the wildlife. For those out there that would like a fun place to take their kids there is a family fun amusement park that has a variety of different activities. This county has a variety of different features and activities that people of all walks of life are able to enjoy.
Camden County has a rich history and is home of the battleship New Jersey. This county has everything from horseback riding trails to discovery museums. The locals in this area enjoy the number of entertainments that are throughout the county. There are a number of great restaurants that are local and national chains. Between the wineries and the spas who cannot find something to do and enjoy in this area.
Cape Mary County was home to a number of famous people including Marla Adams, Chris Ford, and Harriet Tubman. The main industry in this county is tourism. While showing people all that they have to offer this county also manages to rank fifth in national commercial fishing landing. There always seems to be great time be had with a sense of accomplishment.
Cumberland County is a great place to meet the past and discover things you never knew. There are so many people out there that might not know about this county’s little secret of adventure packs but they are there. The local people are able to enjoy these activities when they want. Looking at fishing or want to be able to enjoy the sea they have a little something for everyone. This county is also home to The Landis Theater.
Gloucester County is a great place to get away from it all. They have a great Broadway theatre and a number of farms that you can visit and see how things are done. For those that like parks and golf courses as well they have you covered. This is a great place to get away from the big city while still being able to enjoy all of the amenities of the city.
Salem County is rich in history. There are a number of places that you can go for entertainment such as music and art performances and displays. This is also the home of Jelly Stone Park. This county also has a great historical museum that you can get lost in.
